Peer-to-Peer Campaign: Support for the Children of the Philippines

Money Raised: $0.00

filipino kids after typhoon yolanda

For most of us, Typhoon Haiyan, the strongest typhoon ever recorded, seems like a distant memory. But for many children of the Philippines, that cataclysmic event is as real as if it happened yesterday. In early May, Headwaters volunteers will bring their psychological expertise to the Philippines to support the emotional recovery of children still living with trauma.

During their trip, they will distribute When Strong Winds Blow, a book especially developed by Headwaters to help children process their feelings and understand how to be safe during a major storm. Written in English and Tagalog, the book will reach thousands of young people in the areas hardest hit by the 2013 storm. Please support our volunteers as they give their time and expertise to these vulnerable children by making a contribution today. Thank you for your generosity!
